Styles of wedding dresses:
A-line or princess – a very popular choice since it’s a flattering style for most everyone. It has a fitted bodice with a skirt that gradually widens from the waist.
Ballgown – Cinderella wore a ball gown. They have a very full skirt and will look nice on most everyone. You may want to reconsider, though, if you’re very petite or small since you might feel like you get lost in the skirt. If you think of yourself as having tomboy tastes in clothes, this probably isn’t the best choice.
Empire – they have a raised waistline that starts right under the bust. Is a very romantic style and is flattering to most body types. The shape of the dress helps to lengthen the body’s appearance.
Mermaid and trumpet – they are fitted through the bodice, waist, and hips, then flare out dramatically to accentuate curvy body shapes. You definitely want to feel confident in your body for this choice.
Sheath – this is best suited for women with nice figures or are very slim. It fits very close to your body and will show any flaws you may have. If you’re not really confident or happy with your figure, you probably don’t want to choose this style. The shape of this dress can also help to lengthen the body’s appearance
